What is the one move technique for panic attacks?

I suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks whenever I have to give presentations or public speaking. I have been receiving information about the one move technique but everything I look at says you have to purchase. I really can’t afford to purchase anything, but I need to get over my anxiety because it is taking over.

Yes, the One Move technique is part of the Panic Away program. If you can’t afford it go to the library and take a look at a few self-help books for anxiety. You may find that there are other programs like Panic Away in a book format and you can check the book out for free. Books can be a really good resource. But, to overcome this you will have to work at it. No book or program will work without effort.

Just remember that your condition is curable and you don’t have to live with anxiety for good.

Some people just dont like public speaking, if your not on medication for the anxiety disorder then you should start there. Things you have to pay for like this ‘one move technique’ are just scams.
Maybe some therapy could help if your really desperate.

    edit

one thing that helps me is just thinking that when your watching someone else speak infront of a group etc your not analysing everything they do, you might not even be fully listening
so its likely people will be doing that exact same thing when watching you

I agree about the scam thing preying on people.
there is medication you can take if you are really suffering but it has to be prescribed by the doctor.

You could also try cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) which is a way of controlling the panic yourself. It isn’t a quick fix though. You can get referred by the doctor but the waiting list is about 2 years. But I have found this self-help book that really helped (I know self help is out of fashion at the mo though - "cognitive behavioural therapy for dummies" I got it 2nd hand off amazon for £2.
    Good luck xxxx

If you only feel anxious and panicky when you have to make a presentation or speak publicly, then I seriously doubt that you suffer from any anxiety disorder that requires medical intervention. I think this "fear" of public speaking is relatively common.

If other situations make you severely anxious as well then I would suggest seeing a Dr as there could be an underlying cause which can range from depression to generalised anxiety disorder.

The fastest (but not the best way) to resolve this issue is to take a low dose of a tranquiliser such as alzam before you have to speak publicly.
However this type of drug needs to be pescribed by a Dr.

Another usefull technique is breathing excercises. You can find a lotta information on the internet about this.

well first of all public speaking is the second most feared thing in America,i dont public speak, but i do have anxiety, and i know how you feel, and no panic/anxiety attacks CAN NOT harm you physically, but it does mentally,so try and relax and breath deeply, but if your attacks get worse, then you should take a break from public speaking, the technique’s you can use is count from 1-10 slowly,or picture a stop sign and focus on it,or picture the word "relax",or think of someone you always have good times with, and picture those good times,i hope i helped, feel better =)

First of all you are not the only one who is not fond of public speaking. This is what helps me:

    1. Take deep breaths (trust me this works like magic)
    2. Try meditating right before your presentation (learn some yoga asnaas)
    3. Distract yourself (don’t focus on how ur gonna do or any such thoughts)
    4. Keep telling yourself you can do it and you’re better than them cuz you are the one giving them a presentation
    5. Have some kind of herbal tea before you present (avoid caffeine)
    6. Practice a lot infront of the mirror before the big day it eases you down a little

    I hope I helped :) Good luck

I always talk to my subconscious and say "I will enjoy my presentation". I do this repeatedly and silently in my heart. I see myself enjoying doing it. When the time comes, I become nervous briefly and it eventually goes away.

    Everybody feels nervous.

The other thing is that, panic or anxiety are linked to diet. Improve your diet, especially vitamin B (supplement if you have to) is the major nutrient. Lack of it can cause depression in some people.

Panic is not caused by bacteria or virus; there is no scam about trying natural methods like diet.

Hey, I truly understand how you feel…

The uncomfortable symptoms like sweaty palms, "jelly" legs, extreme alertness, "impending doom" feeling and the fight-or-flight response.
I’ve been there. I’m an ex-victim. Sometimes the deep breathing or distraction techniques doesn’t work - a full-blown panic or anxiety attack happens later.
Sometimes you experience panic attack out of the blue and such.

Do NOT buy Panic Away, Linden Method, EasyCalm or the Panic Puzzle. They do NOT work - I’ve tried them and their solutions are similar - it DOESN’T WORK.
Medications do NOT work - I was under many antidepressants (Prozac, Lexapro, Paxil and Zoloft) and anti-anxiety medications (Ativan, Klonopin, and Xanax) but my condition was the same - no improvement at all.

The only program that really work is The Panic Attack Solution. It’s found by an ex-victim. You can check out his old blog in his official website to read up some useful tips.
But the package is the best - it teaches 18 powerful techniques and the real solution to panic attacks. I’ve bought it and it really helped me - it’s the BEST anti-anxiety package or book I’ve read.
    His theory really makes sense.

You will learn why your panic attacks can happen without warning sometimes; why having stimulant causes panic attacks; and many-many other useful tips!

Hey there - practice/rehearse, practice/rehearse, practice/rehearse … I also have anxiety/panic attacks. I love computer and other "techie" stuff. I volunteered 2 semester in the tech lab at a local elementary. Last semester my group and I was assigned to a "technology in the classroom" project. Although it was a group project, I was the one w/all the knowledge and the one who ended up doing practically the entire slide show… I was very comfortable w/this and thus after rehersing many times in front of the tech lab teacher - i agreed to get up in front of the class and do the presentation… it felt like 2nd nature to me, no anxiety, no hesitating sound in my voice, etc
