Is there any quick way to cure panic attacks besides prescriptions?
Sorry, there is no way. Some tricks might help, but will not completely cure it.

Took my daughter for Emotional Freedom Technique therapy. Not too expensive, but it’s changed both our lives. We were crippled by her panic attacks. She may need one or two more sessions, but after forty minutes, she became a different girl!

Quick? No. Prescriptions cure NOTHING. How about a slow, effective cure?…. http://www.feelinggood.com/

to consiously realize that what you are panicing over is an over exagerated fear that does not matter and to force yourself to calm down and get over it.a panic attack is no more than an exaduration of an irrational fear and by facing our worst fears and nightmares we realize more often than not how silly they really were in the first place.

I’ve had panic attacks for most of my life, so the best thing I can tell you is to practice some deep breathing exercises, count slowly backwards from 100. You might want to consider taking a recreational yoga class, as these will actually help too. I know it sounds odd, but the yoga exercises do really work. Give it a try.

Breath in for a count of 3, hold for a count of 3, and breath out on a count of 3, and tell yourself everythings ok.

- You can try rationalizing your fears but that usually works in the long run, and it might not help you immediately with the panick attack.
- If you feel dizzy, you could be hyperventillating so you can try breathing into a plastic bag.
- If you feel like you’re having a heart attack, start preparing as though you were going to the hospital, BUT don’t call 911 until you’re absolutely convinced that you have to. Just being prepared for such a possibility tends to have a calming effect.
- Do not smoke or drink caffeinated drinks (cola, coffee or even tea). They will make you only more jumpy.
- You can take up jogging or a yoga as your hobby. Being fit gives you not only physical benefits but also psychological ones. You’ll feel more confident about yourself.

First of all, do not use drugs of any type, yes they work, but they are totally unnecessary.
I had panic attacks bad, real bad…..I thought I was having a heat attack, couldn’t breathe….pulse, blood pressure would rise….bed feeling…..I went to the doctor and had a complete heart check…..that’s when I found out it was panic attacks.
A panic attack is pure mental (almost). Caffeine can trigger attacks, so watch your caffeine intake. What worked for me is breathing techniques……when I would feel one coming on….I would remember to breathe deep in through my nose, and exhale out my mouth several times…..as I breathe, I would think happy thoughts (sounds corny, but it works)….Meds are addictive, so stay away from anything like that…….but…….a stiff drink(only one) will also work good….and contrary to popular belief…..three drinks a week of whiskey or wine has been linked to the reduced risk of heart attacks. Good Luck, and breathe…….

Drink some milk (indegestion) stand up, walk around, take deep breaths and if it’s not too bad try and remove yourself from the situation by taking your mind off things - painting, music whatever.
Talking to whoever about your fears/symptoms will also help.
The herbal remidy passiflora can help.
FOR HEAVENS SAKE DO NOT BREATHE INTO A PLASTIC BAG AS MR NERDLINGE ADVISES….IT SHOULD BE PAPER!
good luck hon!

Hi, know what your going through. Even though this sounds hard, I get MAD at the panic attacks now and let them happen! If I’m by myself I’ll scream "Go ahead get me" and this takes the panic away and seems to limit the amount of time it lasts for. Good luck with finding your own cure.

Relieve tension with vigorous exercise or massage. Get enough rest. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, and nicotine. Get out and do something you enjoy.
