While I have never had a panic attack. I have seen many occuring and talked to my clients about many others.
The techniques that I have seen help my clients are a mix of medications and behavioral skills.
Clients are first helped lessen the daily anxiety with medication, thereby reducing panic attacks. Then we work on relaxation, coping, and other skills to be able to work through the anxiety and panic without medication.

Well, I’ve had panic attacks my whole life, and they suck… But I’ve gotten to the point where I hardly notice them anymore… What helpped me was to learn breathing techniques have something to fiddle with in my hands, and thinking of the best moment of my life, or only imagining it, would make me feel alot better. I saw some psycologists, and I’m much better now. And i have NEVER taking panic attack medication, because in my opinion, taking the medication is temporary relief from them, and eventually you’re gona have more, so you may ass well learn how to control them, instead of making them go away temporarily so they can just sneak up you again. Another thing that helped me was some pressure point therapy, there are some pressure points that when pushed on make you relax.

Hi,
I was having panic/anxiety attacks every day for 8months, finally when n got help seeing a physcologist n taking medication. Now im pretty much 100% cured. they say u have them because of a fear. in my case my fear was dying and i would get a racing heart, sweat, shake, dizzy etc
This would happen at random times but more so at night when i was trying to sleep.it started to control my life and i was always miserable n upset.
now that i look back i wish i had got the help sooner.
hope this helps.

I do. First time in combat, public speaking and a few other high stress situations. I learned some mind exercises to keep my mind from focusing on the fear but on the task at hand. Took a while but better than medication…

I have suffered from panic attacks for a long time. I would have them evryday for about 2 years. My doctor put me on meds but they seriosuly like made me tried all the time. Like i would wake up at 8 and be sleeping by 9. I took myself off them and had apnic attacks again. I read though in amagazine there is a diet that poepl how usffer from them should take. Its pretty much you eat no sugar and no caffenie. Dont misunderstand me once in a while its ok to have that stuff but i know atleast for me if i eat alot of that stuff i get panic attacks really bad.
